THE TONYA COOPER SCHOLARSHIP

Deadline: May 31st, 2021

We hope you will consider making a donation to the 2nd Annual Tanya Cooper Scholarship fund! Shaughn Cooper’s dream of becoming a professional photographer took flight thanks to the support of his mother, Tonya Cooper, who died in 2013.

The Christmas before her passing, she purchased a lens and screen printing machine to make clothes for Shaughn, providing him with the tools he needed to create. She later fell ill, on Christmas day, of that same year which led her to be in a vegetated state for the next six months until she passed.

In memory of his mother, and the seeds she planted in his life as a photographer, Shaughn created the Tonya Cooper scholarship to help give another upcoming photographer the opportunity to advance their education and shape the world around them as a creator.

The targeted recipients are two upcoming photographers worldwide. $2,500 could make a big difference for a photographer and pay for up to a year of Adobe Cloud, camera insurance, new equipment, and even more.

Throughout the year, Shaughn will let the scholarship recipients shadow him (if local) on shoots and mentor the recipients to help further their career.

The deadline for the campaign is May 10th so please make your tax-deductible contribution today! Thank you so much for your support!
